A shared, living rail world. You build a network into the same market as everyone else, earn cash by hauling goods and standing, the score that matters, by supplying your home city. It runs around the clock; you drop in for a few minutes at a time.
THIS ROUND, IT'S ABOUT THE OTHER HAULERS
The map is full of rival companies, and this round the ones that matter are real people. That's exactly what we're here to test: do other players give you a reason to act, and a reason to come back?
At the start of each era the best goods in a city go up for sealed-bid auction. Win and you haul them at full rate; lose and you pay a penalty on that route. Bid too low and another player takes it out from under you.
Rolling challenges: deliver the most of good X before the clock runs out. Top haulers take the standing. Watch the contest chip up top and make a run for it.
Everyone who shares your home city is on your team, and you climb the same board and push the same city into the next era together. There's a city board to talk on. Pick a home and make it yours.
YOUR FIRST FIVE MINUTES
A task list in the top-left now walks you through these first goals for small rewards — follow it, or explore on your own. You can replay the full tutorial any time from Settings.
Drag from any industry to your home city (the ⌂ name, top-left; tap it to center the map). A price chip follows your finger; release to claim the route. Redraw the same line to add a second train.
Tap a city for what it's buying and who's supplying it. Tap an industry to light up its supply chain, and dashed links are unclaimed opportunities. Tap a good to see where to get it.
Deliver an input to a factory (grain → mill), then haul its output home. That's an integrated chain, and it multiplies your standing (watch the ×3 badge, top right).
The chip at the bottom-left. Start a building upgrade (they finish on their own, and one can queue), and check the Engineering Works: research new engine types, then sharpen them into higher tiers as the round goes.
THE HABIT WE'RE TESTING
This is built around short check-ins, not marathons. Come back for ~3 minutes, a few times over the round: collect what happened, service tired trains (🚂 on a route chip), react to price spikes, catch an auction or contest, start the next upgrade, leave. The world keeps running without you, and that's the point. Please don't feel you have to grind.
WORTH KNOWING
· Your progress sticks to this browser, so use the same device each visit.
· A round runs ~3–4 days through six eras; the clock under the logo counts down to the next era, when new goods and engines arrive.
· From the second era, passenger lines carry people city-to-city and score standing anywhere on the map, not just at home.
· Licence auctions and contests open on a timer; the ⚖ and 🏁 chips up top tell you when. Low-attention players will miss some windows; that's fair game.
· Every route has settings: tap its type pill (e.g. Freight) to set engine, type, and Fallback (a flat low price when a market crashes, earning no standing but keeping you earning overnight).
· The round is decided in the endgame: the leading cities race to become a megacity and anyone can haul to help — a late window where standing swings.
· Stuck on a rule? Settings has an in-game Help & Feedback assistant — ask it anything, or tell us what felt off.
· Rough edges are expected; you're playing a prototype.
